An MVNO or a Mobile Virtual Network Operator is a type of cellular network company that uses another company’s physical infrastructure in order to provide service. Most MVNOs partner with one large, nationwide-scale cellular network company, (like T-Mobile, (T-Mobile & Verizon Merger) Verizon and AT&T) but some, like TracFone and Google Fi, use multiple carrier networks in order to maximize coverage and service.
