Rarely, when the Tesla Model 3 touchscreen stops responding, it could be a little frightening. You might think that you have just broken your car but fortunately, that is not the case. You probably just have to perform a restart of the Tesla.
- Press down on the two scrolls/buttons on the steering wheel and do not let go until the screen goes black and a white tesla logo appears.
- After the screen goes black, let go until the car has time to start back up again.
Note: In a Tesla Model 3, the computer that runs the touchscreen is completely separate from the drive systems (the motors, steering, etc) and even if the touchscreen is not functional, you will still be able to drive, slow down and turn.
